Skenai v1.11.0 : a shorter night
A shorter night
Every night, Skenai re-reads its sources before redrawing the map. They used to run one after the other; they are now re-read at the same time, one per server and each at its own pace: SoundCloud, Last.fm, geography, Resident Advisor, Deezer, YouTube, then Shotgun and Beatport. On the first such night, today's map was online at 2:52 am UTC instead of 4:27. The How it works page describes the night as it runs.

More up-to-date pages
The shorter night leaves room to re-read more: the country of a thousand artists per night instead of three hundred, and the search for the latest filmed set for twelve hundred artists instead of three hundred. The least-followed artists, whom the search never reached, finally have theirs.
A namesake's releases spotted
A release catalogue that merges two artists with the same name puts the other one's records on a page. These cases are now spotted every night, to be checked and then removed: Mason's page no longer shows a namesake's house tracks.
