Skenai v1.12.0 : to each their own name

Namesakes leave artist pages

Two artists share a name, and the catalogues mix them up: another Mason's house, another Klaatu's rock or another mako's remixes showed up on their pages. Every suspicious release was reviewed and settled by hand: 267 removed, 400 confirmed. The decision applies everywhere: releases, the artist's labels, their Deezer fans and their videos. It stays on record, and a settled release never comes back.

A filmed set that proves the scene

An artist's latest filmed set is searched by name, and a short name turns up everywhere: set theory lectures, a soup recipe or a video game tournament passed for sets. A video now has to come from a scene channel or the artist's own, name another artist from the map, or say drum & bass. No video is better than a wrong one.

A club that hosts its own nights is a venue

On Shotgun, a club often sells its own nights. It counted as an organiser, and its nights stayed in the agenda even without a single artist from the map. A club that mostly hosts at home now counts as a venue: its night has to prove the scene like any other.
